[That makes him smile- he still isn't exactly keyed into fashion, but he likes looking clean. And gargoyle pride means he thinks about others' perceptions more than he once did.]

[And like an excited child he just turns and runs for the front door, thud thud thud'ing down the stairs. He will wait at the door for Neku though, holding it open.]

I hope you ain't eaten yet.

Not anything heavy, no.

[He trots out, wings already slightly tilted for balance, expecting flight]

[Closing the door behind them, Beat moves a bit away to give them both room, so they can launch up. Beat still rises like a rock that learned how to fly..... heavy hard flaps of his wings to just go straight up.]

Think you can keep up?

I've been flying WAY longer than you.

[He puffs up, almost insulted- that pride demanding he prove it. He lets Beat get a wing up before taking off himself. And he will never have the grace of Josh, but he's been doing this long enough that he has no effort getting airborne]

[Man he loves getting the little things out of Neku. The urge to hunt or the desire to show off. He will watch with appreciation as Neku rises, grinning toothily as he watches his fiance. Ugh that's pretty hot...]

Hmm... up yo, let's go up. S'high as we can.

[He wants to grab talons and he learned with Josh it needs height.]

You want me to show you up that badly?

[His tone is... mostly joking. But he's riled now. So his furnace kicks in, making his chest glow slightly as he rises up and up and up with more effort than he usually uses outside a fight.

Considering how aggressive he could get back in the Game(s) maybe this isn't surprising]

[And Beat would be lying if he said he didn't love it. Digging that fire out of Neku, making him passionate about it.

He follows after him slowly until he gets up just above him and begins to feel the effort and cold... then twists himself to dart at Neku, wings back, talons outstretched.]

[It's almost a roar.]

[If it was anyone but Beat (and maybe Josh) he would instinctually see it as an attack. And even so, he shrieks and twists as well, talons out to do... something. Grab and tear?? Or-

- when they collide he grips on and... oh, oh this feels Correct. Huh]

[There! When Neku grabs on, Beat clenches his talons in return, laughing wildly. How did Josh send them spinning...?

With a flick of his wing, he sends them into a spiral, crowing loudly in joy as he holds tight to Neku, flexing his legs to fight the gravity of the spin to pull him in closer.]

[Neku flexes his legs too, and even grabs onto Beat with his tail to keep from spinning off into the sky (or out of it, more likely) from the force alone. But once he realizes what's happening he can't help yelling in excitement as well. It's crazy, he should want to throw up. But something, either biologically or magically, seems to find this thrilling and perfectly manageable.

His heart is beating wildly, and even through his flight eyelids, his eyes are tearing up from the winds. He can't help making more high-pitched raptor screams of delight]

[The tail grab makes him grin, a fierce predatory look. The wind stings, but the look and sound of Neku free-falling with him is worth it. Like with Josh, Beat pulls Neku in close enough to kiss, a hungry biting motion. And when he rolls onto his back, his wings pillowing out to slow them a bit and stop the spin (which takes a bit of fighting and flapping), instead of kicking Neku away like he did with Josh, he pulls him in the best he can, as close as he can.

The position is definitely suggestive.]

[And in the kiss he bites back, thrilled by the tang of blood... thrilled enough that when Beat rolls them over he too flairs his wings so they can fall a bit more steadily. After all, this let's him cling even closer with his tail, though their chests have to fight the wind force to even be close at all.

It's impossible to hear words up here with all the wind, but he's growling loud enough that the vibrations rumble all the way through him]

[The vibrations are definitely felt, as well as the heat, warming every point of contact. Beats own growl vibrates back, his eyes locked on Neku's, drinking in the expression. He fights the wind and gravity to sit up and kiss Neku again, as well as mouth 'i love you' against his lips. Words would just be whipped away, but like this, he can expression his affection. Then, finally, he lets go, relaxing his claws.]

[He gasps against Beat's mouth, overwhelmed by how stupidly romantic this weirdly is? But all too soon they're breaking apart, and Neku locks his wings into a glide, leaning back towards Beat to skim him with his talons- as if to show off his flight skills]

[Ugh. Neku is far better at this than Beat is. The skim of his talons, so controlled, the way he balances in the air, wings moving to keep himself gliding without being buffeted, to keep him on track.

Fucking in the air is so a viable option.

Beat almost doesn't pull himself upright in time, his eyes a little distant as he thinks about fucking Neku in the air, until instinct screams at him. Then Neku can watch the most inelegant roll back to front, combined with a lot of loud swearing as Beat slams his wings to slow the fall enough to start getting air again, tail lashing wildly as he rudders himself into as many updrafts as he can.]

[and neku dives after him- half out of chase instinct and half to grab him if he goes completely off course. But Beat corrects and Neku fights the urges to breathe fire in beastual delight. Damn, he hasn't been this horned up in flight in a long time, and usually only while hunting.]

You okay?

[he yells, not even sure if Beat can hear him]

[He hears him, over the whip of wind in his ears, his hair fluttering madly around his face as he tilts it towards Neku to yell back.]

YE!

[With himself back on track, he can do lazy barrel rolls once in a while to catch Neku in his sights, flex his talons at him, and then back around to normal for beating his wings.

... The drive-in movie theater is in view, too, Beat eventually landing heavily on a building that affords them a perfect view of one of the big screens. There's already a picnic styled buffet of food and drinks and comfortable pillows waiting, all carefully stuck down so wind don't blow them away. He ignores it to turn his attention to Neku, simply to watch him fly.]

[He circles around for a bit to get a view of where they are and what Beat has set up, and like this his bright flashy colors makes for an interesting show. His purple body more black in the night, and the moonlight filtering through his wings to make them deep red-orange.

Finally he lands, quickly hopping over to check everything out]

Holy hell, Beat...

[soundsurfing]

[There's absolute adoration in Beat's eyes as he watches, but also a touch of his own fire. Neku is gorgeous, and the earlier play still has him aroused.

He wants to grab that gargoyle and pin him an-

Oh he's landing. He shakes himself and grins, tail swaying lightly.]

Heh, gladchu like it. Jus' the beginnin' of the night though.

[He gestures for Neku to come sit, moving himself over to some of the pillows to sit himself down and fiddle with a radio, eying the message on the screen for the channel to turn to. Right now it's just good old 'waiting' music and advertisement.]

I gotchu a buncha yer favs too!

[He makes his way over and flops onto the pillows with a grunt, resisting the urge to perch instead, considering how high up they are.]

... did you actually pay for that radio or snatch it from some couple making out in one of the cars?

I refuse to answer that.

[He grins over to Neku, leaving the radio alone to move over to him and sit beside him, using his foot to tug over some of the baskets.]

Figured it was 'bout time we went on an actual date, ya know?

Mmhm. Though you know that kind of thing isn't a big deal to me. You don't gotta woo me at this point.

...still, it IS nice.

[He pauses and leans over to kiss Neku on the cheek.]
