He fights the wind and gravity to sit up and kiss Neku again, as well as mouth 'i love you' against his lips. Words would just be whipped away, but like this, he can expression his affection. Then, finally, he lets go, relaxing his claws.]

[He gasps against Beat's mouth, overwhelmed by how stupidly romantic this weirdly is? But all too soon they're breaking apart, and Neku locks his wings into a glide, leaning back towards Beat to skim him with his talons- as if to show off his flight skills]

[Ugh. Neku is far better at this than Beat is. The skim of his talons, so controlled, the way he balances in the air, wings moving to keep himself gliding without being buffeted, to keep him on track.

Fucking in the air is so a viable option.

Beat almost doesn't pull himself upright in time, his eyes a little distant as he thinks about fucking Neku in the air, until instinct screams at him. Then Neku can watch the most inelegant roll back to front, combined with a lot of loud swearing as Beat slams his wings to slow the fall enough to start getting air again, tail lashing wildly as he rudders himself into as many updrafts as he can.]

[and neku dives after him- half out of chase instinct and half to grab him if he goes completely off course. But Beat corrects and Neku fights the urges to breathe fire in beastual delight. Damn, he hasn't been this horned up in flight in a long time, and usually only while hunting.]

You okay?

[he yells, not even sure if Beat can hear him]

[He hears him, over the whip of wind in his ears, his hair fluttering madly around his face as he tilts it towards Neku to yell back.]

YE!

[With himself back on track, he can do lazy barrel rolls once in a while to catch Neku in his sights, flex his talons at him, and then back around to normal for beating his wings.

... The drive-in movie theater is in view, too, Beat eventually landing heavily on a building that affords them a perfect view of one of the big screens. There's already a picnic styled buffet of food and drinks and comfortable pillows waiting, all carefully stuck down so wind don't blow them away. He ignores it to turn his attention to Neku, simply to watch him fly.]

[He circles around for a bit to get a view of where they are and what Beat has set up, and like this his bright flashy colors makes for an interesting show. His purple body more black in the night, and the moonlight filtering through his wings to make them deep red-orange.

Finally he lands, quickly hopping over to check everything out]

Holy hell, Beat...

[There's absolute adoration in Beat's eyes as he watches, but also a touch of his own fire. Neku is gorgeous, and the earlier play still has him aroused.

He wants to grab that gargoyle and pin him an-

Oh he's landing. He shakes himself and grins, tail swaying lightly.]

Heh, gladchu like it. Jus' the beginnin' of the night though.

[He gestures for Neku to come sit, moving himself over to some of the pillows to sit himself down and fiddle with a radio, eying the message on the screen for the channel to turn to. Right now it's just good old 'waiting' music and advertisement.]

I gotchu a buncha yer favs too!

[He makes his way over and flops onto the pillows with a grunt, resisting the urge to perch instead, considering how high up they are.]

... did you actually pay for that radio or snatch it from some couple making out in one of the cars?

I refuse to answer that.

[He grins over to Neku, leaving the radio alone to move over to him and sit beside him, using his foot to tug over some of the baskets.]

Figured it was 'bout time we went on an actual date, ya know?

Mmhm. Though you know that kind of thing isn't a big deal to me. You don't gotta woo me at this point.

...still, it IS nice.

Heh, I know. But like...

[He pauses and leans over to kiss Neku on the cheek.]

[He grins at Neku, wiggles his eyebrows, then confesses:]

I mean, you can by throwin' a stick these days, but at least make it a bouquet of flowers, huh? Eat, yo. Gotchu yer favs.

No, no. If I'm going to seduce you I won't go for low-hanging fruit like that.

[His tail wags a little and he starts digging through the massive amounts of food. Oh! Chicken! Hell yes]

[Beat watches for a moment with pure fondness in his expression as Neku digs in. He meticulously picked everything he could remember that Neku liked. Then he helps himself as well, finding the stuff he set aside for him, reaching over with a foot to turn up the radio for when the movie starts.

And if, after a moment or two, Beat meticulously begins to build a rubber band catapult between two toes, carefully loads it up with a piece of fish, and flings it at Neku's face?

Well.

Have at thee.]

[And Neku, mid-bite of fried chicken, quickly looks up, eyes slit like a cat's before widening up to eat up almost all the blue. He snarls and snaps... snatching the fish right out of the air]

[soundsurfing]

[Oh that gets a whistle of appreciation out of him, the tip of his tail managing a mild wiggle, as he grins toothily.]

Damn... 'Mind me to save some fer some long shotting at'chu...

[He sets aside his food to scoot over and lean on Neku's back, soaking in some of the warmth and resting his chin on the other's shoulder. Keeping out of the way of food though, so he doesn't get nipped.]

[He snorts in amusement]

If you want to see me catch things just go hunting with me next time.

[He grins and drops a kiss onto the shoulder.]

You tryina say I don't go huntin' widchu enough?

I'm saying you can never go with me too much.

[He hates how much he loves doing it. How much his heart sings doing so with his ma-... with his lover. It's awful, but he adores it]

Hmmm, then Ima go widchu more often.

[And that's settled. Every time Neku goes hunting, he will come with.

The movie has started playing but honestly Beat's not paying attention to it. Instead he tilts his head back, opens his mouth, revs up, and then play bites Neku shoulder.]

[he was settling in to actually watch the movie, so when Beat noms him he taps him with his tail]

If you wanted to that we coulda just stayed home.

[soundsurfing]

[The tap makes him grunt but he releases and rests his chin there instead.]

Okay okay, I'll be good.

[He wiggles himself about to settle in behind Neku properly and wrap him up in his wings like a blanket, curl his legs around him as well, leaving room for him to reach food, and settles in to watch. At least he picked a comedy action, so it doesn't take much for him to be Into It enough to behave.]

[And Neku cuddles in to watch. Honestly he wouldn't have minded just staying home and screwing around. But going on a real date is so... domestic. So NORMAL... how could he say no? It make shim feel warm in a way he never expected.

After they've watched awhile Neku's tail eventually starts snatching food and bringing it up for Beat to eat without Neku even looking]

[The feeding is accepted automatically, Beat not moving his chin from Neku's shoulder. His eyes are focused on the screen. He does make sure he doesn't accidentally nip his tail, however, his own thumping a little from where it had curled around Neku.

He only really shifts when his back begins to get chilly, and then only so he can unwrap one wing from around Neku and blindly reach out for one of the blankets, still focused on the movie. Then he promptly burritos them both with a happy little grunt.]
