● Lizard-like claws in place of fingernails and toenails.
● Sharp fangs instead of teeth.
● Scales on the upper arms, shoulders, and back.
● Scaly, talon-like feet capable of grasping.
● Excellent night vision and sharper eyesight. Gargoyles can make out small details, even from up in the air.
● Weakness to sunlight. Direct exposure will turn the Gargoyle into stone (or jade, or gold, or crystal - anything statues can be made of is fair game) until the sunlight no longer touches them, either because night has fallen or because they've been covered up. They are almost indestructible in statue form, but should try to avoid being in flight when the sun rises.
● An affinity for fire magic. Despite their weakness to sunlight, Gargoyles can create fireballs in their hands to hurl at their enemies, and can make their own skin so hot it burns to touch. Because of this magic, they are also immune to fire. (Complete 1/22)
● Hunger and hunting instinct. Gargoyles usually hunt by either directly attacking their prey or lifting them off the ground and dropping them from great heights. Hunting animals will satiate them for a short time, but the longer they go without hunting a human, the more they'll be compelled to do so until they start losing their self-control. Incomplete
Optional Changes
● Two horns on the head that vary in size and shape.
● Spikes on any part of their body.
● A long, reptilian tail.
● The ability to breathe fire.
● A hoarding instinct. Gargoyles can be very greedy and like to hold on to anything nice they've found, especially if it's shiny.
● A fog form. This is an exaggerated version of their monster form that appears only during the fog and is a chance to make your monster more "horrifying" during the fog.
● The ability to influence the actions of humans by giving them commands while making eye contact.
● A proud nature. Gargoyles are both easily insulted and easily flattered.
Neku's Gargoyle form is inspired by the Goth Metal Drake Noise from the original TWEWY.
As a drake his wings are formed from his arms rather than growing from his back. His thumb and index finger remain to allow him to still grasp and manipulate objects with his wings. He maintains his human posture, and his torso remains mostly humans, with his scales covering his arms, shoulders, and back fully and lightly dusting his neck face, and chest/belly. His legs are digitigrade and fully scaled. Neku's feet are entirely reptilian and are armed with long talons and are capable to grasping and manipulating objects.
His tail is long and built to balance his wings. While it is impossible for it to completely mimic the graffiti design of the Noise he's based on it does have spines and boney growths that criss-cross along it to mimic the see-through effect. From his back he has a line of spines down his spine, though smaller than the Noise's example, and a pair of forward sweeping horns adorn his head. His eyes are still blue but are slit like a reptile's, and his mouth is full of sharp fangs.
His coloring mostly matches the Noise he takes inspiration from: purple-blue is the core color with orange and yellow accents, usually with a flame-like gradient. While he lacks the sword markings on his wings he DOES have orange and yellow speckling here and there, mostly on said wings.
